David Catt began his career as a telecine engineer at Rank Cintel in the UK, later transitioning to a full-time colorist at SVC Television, where he built Europe’s first Da Vinci color grading suite. In 1994, he joined Da Vinci as Product Manager, helping to develop both the 2K and Resolve systems. After moving to Film Systems, David shifted his focus to digital color correction and co-founded ColorScene in 2010 with fellow colorist Ron Anderson.
Based in Atlanta, ColorScene offers cutting-edge solutions for post-production, broadcast, and educational institutions across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. As a certified Blackmagic Resolve trainer and ICA member, David combines decades of expertise in color grading with ColorScene’s full-service approach, specializing in everything from color correction to system integration for live production, streaming, and post-production workflows.
